Apostle Carolyn L. Hicks is a native of South Carolina. She is the 9th out of 12 Children of the late Roscoe Bennett and Claries Bennett, who is 76 years old of Hope Mills, North Carolina. After moving to Brooklyn, New York in 1963 she received Christ into her life under the late Apostle Arturo Skinner, as a teenager. It was during these years of growth that the impartation of the apostolic anointing was deposited into her life. After totally surrendering her life to Christ in 1982 under Bishop James H. Everett, the Spirit of the LORD gave her a vision for the Ministry of Deliverance Jesus Is Coming Victory Center Inc, (DJICVC). In 1986, she relocated to Hope Mills, North Carolina to fulfill ministry work for the LORD. Upon the leading of the LORD in 1993 she was released to begin the ministry. Apostle Hicks is married to Walter Hicks, Jr.; they have been married for over 27 years. They are proud to be the parents of five lovely children, Michele Denise, Walter "Chevy" III, Andre Vaughan, Angelicia Gabriella, and Dominique Shante. She is the Pastor of DJICVC in Hope Mills, North Carolina and Deliverance Victory Center, Lumberton, North Carolina. She is also the Overseer of Churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida and East Africa. Apostle Hicks is very instrumental in "stirring up" Outreach Ministries and Churches to bring their vision to pass. In January of 2002, Apostle Hicks began The Deliverance Victory Bible School, which is aimed at equipping the Body of Christ with understanding the divine purpose of God for our lives. Apostle Hicks main concern is the 22 Million SOULS that the LORD has promised the ministry of Deliverance would reach with the gospel. She has allowed the LORD to use her in Revivals throughout the United States, Women's Seminars Fair Banks, Alaska, Raeford, North Carolina; Women's Healing Clinic, Hope Mills North Carolina. Health Fairs for Minorities, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Black Symposium for Family Strengthening, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Youth Outreach Ministries, Fayetteville; Charlotte North Carolina, Health Forums for Health Awareness, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Revivals all over the Country.
